What We Do

Electrical System Testing & Commissioning

A critical success factor for electrical construction projects is the testing and  system commissioning. Our experienced team has successfully completed electrical switchgear installations for a variety of challenging projects, some with incredibly unique requirements and constrains. The Lackey Engineering Team is here to ensure that each electrical system we design or work on is safe, reliable, and built to last.


Arc Flash & Coordination Studies

We have performed arc flash and coordination studies across the United States. Our team is experienced and proficient and can deliver accurate arc flash information to our clients. We provide full service arc flash & coordination studies from data gathering of the existing electrical systems, thorough analysis and recommendation of relay settings. Our complete process allows us to help ensure accurate results and improve worker safety.

Electrical Engineer/Designer


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • Knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment

  • Good working knowledge of 3Ø low and medium voltage power distribution systems

  • Understanding of critical power and safety system design concepts

  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Familiarity with common trade hand and power tools and multimeters

  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical manuals, schematics and reports

  • Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of generators, automatic transfer switches, and surge protection devices

  • AutoCAD experience

  • Travel between 25-50% may be required

  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed
