Electrical Engineer/Designer
OVERVIEW:
-
Lackey Engineering Electrical (Power) Engineers & Designers work in a fast-paced environment, with other engineering disciplines, to provide detailed designs and construction specifications for the installation of new equipment and systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
-
Knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment
-
Good working knowledge of 3Ø low and medium voltage power distribution systems
-
Understanding of critical power and safety system design concepts
-
Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work
-
Ability to exercise independent judgment
-
Familiarity with common trade hand and power tools and multimeters
-
Demonstrated ability to understand technical manuals, schematics and reports
-
Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of generators, automatic transfer switches, and surge protection devices
-
AutoCAD experience
-
Travel between 25-50% may be required
-
Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. In Electrical Engineering

Electrical Project/Construction Manager
OVERVIEW:
-
Lackey Engineering Electrical Project/Construction Manager will take on new and challenging opportunities in the electrical industry. You will be given the opportunity to grow your management and leadership skills while working in a team atmosphere.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-
Journeyman or Master Electrician license
-
Knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment
-
Good working knowledge of 3Ø low and medium voltage power distribution systems
-
Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work
-
Travel across the US over 50% of the time
-
Familiarity with common trade hand and power tools and multimeters
-
Demonstrated ability to understand technical manuals, schematics and reports
-
Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of generators, automatic transfer switches, and surge protection devices
-
General physical fitness is required for some work areas, physical dexterity is required, also the ability to lift heavy objects is required in this position (>50lbs unassisted)

Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings and climbing hand over hand
-
Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of industry related experience;

Must have experience with high voltage power distribution systems

Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, Federal, State, and utility rules and regulations.

Must be able to act independently with little or no supervision and work collaboratively on a team environment.

CAD/REVIT Drafter
OVERVIEW:

Lackey Engineering CAD/REVIT Designers work in a fast-paced environment, with other engineering disciplines, to provide detailed designs and construction specifications for the installation of new equipment and systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-
Transform initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents
-
Design, draft, and deliver drawings in a timely manner.
-
Utilize CAD/REVIT software to convert designs, sketches, ideas and descriptions into technical drawings.
-
Ability to create shop drawings for electrical systems, cable tray & conduit routing.
-
Ensures drawings and designs adhere to established specifications and standards.
-
Designs and develops layouts for electrical circuits or systems for power distribution.
-
Updates drawings based on as-built installation.
-
Experience in electric relay controls systems.
-
Experience with schematic diagrams for the electric power industry.

Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work.

Ability to exercise independent judgment.

Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

HS Diploma or equivalent; College Degree in Construction management or related field is preferred.

Proficiency in Revit 2019, Revit Advance Steel, & AutoCAD.
